Drill and practice is a type of computer-assisted language learning (CALL) methodology that aims to improve language skills through repetitive practice. This approach involves presenting students whit language tasks or exercises that target a specific aspect of language learning. As well as the opportunity to repeat and review learning materials without time constraints, and instant feedback. However, the over-reliance on drill and practice activities may tend to promote a mechanical approach to language learning, which may not necessarily foster higher-order thinking skills or communicative competence in students.
